Typically not a fan of Mexican food as most places load up on rice and assorted carbs. This place is all meat, all the time. Loved the Beria, just cheese and meat! Tasty, with fast service and great taste. This place is high volume, so be prepared for a lot of activity around you, but great food and friendly service.
The quesabirrias were phenomenal! We also tried the mulitas (one of each flavor - chicken, chorizo, and carne asada) and they were amazing, too! They were served with a smoky cream sauce and a fresh creamy salsa verde sauce on the side and we couldn't get enough! The aguas frescas were so refreshing and so tasty! We tried the pineapple flavor and the hibiscus flavor. We even got one to go! The brothers who own the restaurant were so welcoming and friendly. YOU NEED TO EAT HERE!!!
While driving through Westport we decided to try Taqueria Los Tres Figgies based on the reviews. The bright little building with limited, but colorful seating didn't disappoint. You order at the counter and they bring you the food. We decided on an Asada burrito, the Mulitas, one birria taco and chips & salsa. The salsa is fresh, homemade and delicious. The burrito was stuffed with everything yummy and big! I can't believe my husband ate the whole thing! The taco was flavorful and he ate that, too! For the Mulitas I order a chicken one, asada one and a pork one. I honestly can't say which was my favorite cause all three were delicious. I certainly couldn't finish them, tho. The portions are nicely sized! The staff was friendly and very patient with my many questions! My only one suggestion would be to serve the Mulitas in a different container, rather than the basket lined with paper it came in. The Mulitas definitely made the paper underneath soggy and I think I may have partially consumed saturated food liner paper! It was difficult eating them with a fork and knife in that basket and they were too hot and saucy to pick up with my hands, so serving them on a plate would have been much nicer. Other than that, we certainly enjoyed our meal! If you ever find yourself in Westport craving some yummy Mexican food, check them out.
We tried it once and keep coming back. The menu is small but everything we've tried is amazing. Prices are low for the high quality. Seriously, should not be missed if you're hungry for Mexican food and visiting Westport. Probably even worth a long drive. The frescas are incredible too. The interior is small but there's also a drive up window if you'd rather take your meal to the beach.
Best authentic Mexican food! My family and I have been on a road trip and we stopped by for some dinner about 40 minutes before closing. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. We had aguas frescas and tried the tortas, birria tacos, and asada picaditas. Everything was fresh and tasted amazing. Tasted just like our mom's cooking! Definitely recommend coming in to try! Wishing we had one near home!
This place is a wonderful gem - when you are around Westport looking for something authentic, this is it. Bring friends too, very comfy and cozy feeling inside. All dishes were delicious - they even had one of my favorites, lenguas tortas! We enjoyed a variety of specialities (of course tacos too), staff were very friendly in providing recommendations, horchata was extra refreshing. Highly recommend this spot, will be back!
Absolutely the best authentic Mexican food we have had away from home. We were absolutely astonished by how closely it resembled my mom's cooking. We aren't super easily impressed either. Stellar job on taste and friendly service! We ordered aguas frescas (which you can taste are NOT from a powder pre mix, but the actual fruit). We tried the birria tacos, tortas, picaditas and some of their desserts! Also the two salsas they give you to eat with your meal are phenomenal. One of them is spicier and the other is more of a very mild heat with a lot of great flavor. You will not feel disappointed eating here. We will definitely come back anytime we visit the area.
This place was so buss. The chicken torta I ordered made me feel like i was ascending to another level. I ate it in about ten minutes, about the same time it took for them to make it for me. the flan I ordered was sooo delicious that I hope they start making some tres leches cake too. Las aguas frescas tasted like the ones my mami makes (so yummy!). me and my table ordered a pretty hefty list and service was still good! I recommend it to anyone, but definitely to people far from home that miss their mom’s cooking!
